For those of you that were apart of XML for Madden 11, you remember that i experimented with doing a radio show for the league. While I didnt consistently do the radio show as much as I would have liked to, I got positive responses from many for doing the show.
This time around, I want to actually be consistent with it...but my question for you all is what can I do to do so?
With the pace that the league will likely run at, which will probably be approximately one advance every two to three days, I'm curious to know what you all think is best for a date to do the show. Doing a show after every advance seems like it would just be way too hard to keep up with. Would once a week be fine? once every two weeks? Or maybe divide it throughout the season and do one every four madden weeks (something like week 1, week 5, week 9, week 13, and week 17)?
If i were to do it once a week or every two weeks...we could have a set date for the show, like every Wednesday or something of that sort.
Also, what ideas do you have for the show for me to talk about? Last year, in the two shows I did, the only segment I actually came up with myself was my top 5 things of the week. Other than that, i broke down scores of good games, and talked about standout players. I'm sure many of u guys are apart of other leagues that have radio shows...feel free to share any ideas you have from those shows.
I definitely am pumped about the game this year, and would like to say i contributed to this league with this radio show/podcast. I havent decided how I am gonna do the show this year. Last year, i basically did the show alone via adobe audition. But ideally, I would love to co-host the show with someone over skype, and be able to have other guys on as guests and stuff to talk about how their season is going. I just havent really messed with skype enough to know how i can do such a thing.
Also looking for a new title for the show. First and Goal was the original name, but i wanna change it to something fresh for the new and improved XML. So if anybody has ideas, feel free to share em. we got plenty of time til madden's release.
I do want to do a pre-season show before we start the league...i think that'd be awesome.
