I am not sure that you should be able to pick your own sub, especially if it's for more than 1 game, and there's 2 reasons. 1) you can, as you have done here, pick someone with significantly more skills than you and try and get wins you would not have gotten, and 2) You picked someone in your own conference, who could decide to manipulate the playoff picture in his own conference by deciding to throw 1 or more games (not that BJ specifically would, but there's always that possibility).

Phantom; my friend. I'm 4-1. I play Lilgame, Z, and MIM. I beat all 3 last season. I can beat either one of them. And also.. I'm the only one to have beaten BJCole, so you're incorrect.

I am against subs in general, I think if you can't be at the game you should be replaced by the computer. However, if we are allowing subs how can we say that you can only pick certain people to be your sub then?

This. To my knowledge, we've never allowed a person to choose their sub when they go on vacation. The fact that you would pick the defensing SB champ is egregious to say the least. I don't care if you beat him or not.

I'm just saying I don't want some clown to lose every game for me when I know I can win at least 2 of those 3 games.. instead of coming back with 3 more losses, I'll be sure to have won the games I would have won otherwise.

I'm personally against it because it forces me to play bjcole twice in 4 games...and i dont wanna play a frustrating player like him twice in a season when i dont have to.

But i completely agree with what phantom and soop said...thats just beyond ridiculous that you "chose your sub" and he happens to be the defending super bowl champ, who nobody has beaten since he rejoined the league last season...(except you and your mozzarella offense)

Pretty sure we covered this in the offseason. If you're absent, you're at the mercy of the court. If your opponent wants to play a sub, they can. If they wanna play CPU, they can. If they wanna sim the game, they can.

To my mind, if you just don't show up, then you get the CPU. If you let everyone know you are not gonna be around, then having a sub is fair. However, the choice of sub should be up to the opponent. If I know I'm supposed to play Bik, who I've never lost to, I am not going to agree to play BJCole, who I've never beaten. How is that fair?

You have the right to a sub being away for a week and giving notice. You cannot however designate someone as ur only sub. BJ may play a game for you but not them all. And to your comment of not wanting an avg joe to take over and lose it for you...how about when you subbed for people last year and threw 6 ints with no respect to their team? Now you've got the other side.

I would say Lilgame and Z can and should pick someone other than myself to sub.... Since they are both AFC teams and i play them each, it is not fair to make them play me again. It is up to MIM if he cares or not if i play him.
