Welcome to the first inaugural "XML's Best"! Here we will highlight who was the best at their respective positions, and award them accordingly. In this series, there will be 3 candidates up for the award at each position. Bringing the offensive position players to a close, we now shift our attention to the Tight Ends. Overworked and undervalued, the Tight End position has become a position of strength to many teams in the XML. There was definitely a solid group of pass catchers. However, only one of these 3 can be labeled as the best. Without further ado, here are the 3 candidates who are up for Best TE:
1. Aaron Hernandez - New England Patriots
- Receiving: 68 receptions, 1154 yards, 6 Touchdowns (17 yds/rec, 72.1 yds/game)
2. Jermaine Gresham - Cincinnati Bengals
- Receiving: 66 receptions, 1149 yards, 4 Touchdowns (17.4 yds/rec, 82.1 yds/game)
3. Jacob Tamme - Arizona Cardinals
