Desert Heat: Week Three
After losing their home opener, the Arizona Cardinals have now won 2 straight road games, and are above .500 for the first time this season. This time, the Cardinal offense, led by Kevin Kolb, went for a season-high 35 points en route to defeating the Seattle Seahawks and "The 12th Man". However, the fireworks came at the beginning of the game when the Cardinals Special Teams Captain LaRod Stephens-Howling took the opening kickoff 105 yards for six.
The impact players of the game were a couple of off-season defensive acquistions. Leon Hall and Cameron Jordan both showed how good they could be. Hall, the former Bengal, hauled in two interceptions, while Jordan, the rookie 1st round pick of the Saints racked up a whopping 4 sacks. "It was great to make an impact, and even better to get the win. Defensively, we're getting better each week." Jordan told the media after the game.
The Seahawks fought valiantly, but had trouble sustaining drives offensively. Wide Receiver Sidney Rice caught 4 passes in the game, but was unable to get loose in the Arizona secondary. Charlie Whitehurst and Tarvaris Jackson combined to throw for more than 170 yards.
ItsMyThrone and the Seattle Seahawks (1-2) will host the Neo and the Atlanta Falcons (2-1). And for the Arizona Cardinals (2-1), they'll host Psychomantis and the New York Giants (1-2).
